The 23rd Annual Conference of GLEA took place at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law from July 16–17 in Freiburg. We thank our wonderful local hosts Hannes Rusch and Nicholas Umashaev as well as our keynote speakers Eberhard Feess and Anna Bindler.
A special highlight of the conference was the conferral of the association’s Rudolf von Jhering Lifetime Achievement Award to Professor Hans-Bernd Schäfer—see the tribute delivered by Thomas Eger.
